Genesis 12:3; Romans 3:20; Romans 5:8; Matthew 5:11
Synopsis: For a few decades after the Holocaust, it seemed that anti-Semitism might wane or die out. But it won’t die. It seems that as long as there is a Jew to hate, anti-Semitism will exist. The Jew carried God’ Laws into world history and for this, he has never been forgiven. The message entrusted to and borne by the Jews can transform the world, but it is this very message that draws the ire of those would would fight to the death to resist it. Jews are embraced by most Christian circles because we embrace Jewish values and moral standards, as set forth by God. This, by the way, is the underlying reason Christians are beginning to take more and more heat in our world. Both Jews and Christians are hated because they insist that life should be lived directed by the Laws of God. God’s Laws show us how desperately sinful we are. Like a broken record, the Law points out the many ways we have become polluted with sin and how we need to be cleansed of it. We are people of the Bible. The Bible is annoying to those in sinful conditions. Yet, we must get out there and hold forth the Word of life. So get out there and be annoying!
